7 Minute Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites, beaten
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 tsp. tartar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients but vanilla in top of double boiler. Cook over boiling water, beating constantly, for 7 minutes, until icing stands in stiff peak.
    Remove from heat and beat in vanilla.
