Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch broccoli
    1 lb. bacon
    1 purple or red onion
    1 c. raisins
    3/4 c. mayonnaise or to taste
    1 c. shredded Swiss cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crispy.
    Drain well and crumble.
    Put cut broccoli flowerets, chopped onion and raisins in large mixing bowl. Add mayonnaise and toss lightly.
    Garnish with shredded cheese, if desired.
