Elbow Macaroni Creole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 pkg. elbow macaroni
1 lb. loose sausage
1 medium chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
3 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
buttered bread crumbs
Preparation

Fry sausage and remove from pan, saving 4 tablespoons fat. Saute onions and pepper; add tomatoes and seasonings and simmer 15 minutes.
Add sausage.
Cook elbow macaroni.
Alternate layers of macaroni and sausage mixture.
Bake with bread crumbs on top at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
