Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cream-style corn
    2 eggs
    1 small can green chili peppers
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation
    Drain and chop chilies.
    Mix other ingredients, except cheese, and pour 1/2 of the mixture into a hot skillet.
    Sprinkle cheese and green chilies over it.
    Pour the remaining mixture over it and bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Very good.
