German Apple Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. lemon extract
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 to 4 apples, pared and sliced
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar, butter and egg.
    Stir in milk and lemon extract. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt.
    Spread in bottom on well-greased 2-quart baking pan.
    Arrange apple slices on top. Cut butter into the last 4 ingredients, sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350\u00b0 until it tests done with wooden toothpick (about 40 to 45 minutes).
