Red Hot Cinnamon Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2-2/3 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. red food coloring
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. cinnamon oil
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix sugar, water, and syrup in heavy pan.
    Turn on the vent over stove; open window if possible.
    The fumes are quite strong. Boil until hard crack stage.
    Remove from heat and add oil and coloring.
    Stir well; pour into cookie sheet which has been dusted with powdered sugar.
    Cool; break into small pieces.
