French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick butter
    2 to 3 large onions, diced
    2 cans beef broth, diluted
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. salt
    Provolone cheese
    bread pieces
Preparation
    Melt butter in a large frying pan and brown onions.
    Add broth, garlic powder and salt; simmer.
    Place soup in bowls with bread pieces and cover with cheese.
    Place under broiler until cheese is melted and brown.
