1 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 c. dates
1/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. butter
1 1/2 c. boiling water
nuts
Preparation

Mix first 6 ingredients; put into ungreased pan.
Mix next 4 ingredients; pour over batter.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake slowly.
