Granny'S Spruill'S Gingersnap Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. (level) soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add molasses and egg.
    Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Roll out dough into a ball.
    Dip into sugar.
    Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    (Do not overbake.)
