Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
1 c. Miracle Whip
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Preparation

Put dates into boiling water and let set. Mix sugar, Miracle Whip, flour, soda and vanilla. Add date mixture; mix well. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch cake pan. Sprinkle top with nuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
