Apple Pandowdy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. Bisquick (prepared biscuit mix)
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. Bisquick
    3/4 c. light cream
    5 c. pared and sliced apples (6 or 7)
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine the 1/4 cup Bisquick, brown sugar, salt, vinegar and water in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick and clear.
    Remove from heat; add vanilla and butter; cool.
