Meringue Kisses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans
    peppermint flavoring or vanilla to taste
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until stiff.
    Add sugar gradually and beat.
    Add chocolate chips, nuts and flavoring.
    (Can use small amounts of coloring.) Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
    Turn oven off; place pan in oven and let stand overnight.
    Do not open oven.
