Italian Chicken Delight - cooking recipe

6 boneless chicken breasts
1 egg
3/4 c. Italian bread crumbs
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
1/2 c. oil
2 small cans tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. basil
Parmesan cheese
Mozzarella cheese, grated
Preparation

Dip chicken in beaten egg, coating well, then roll in bread crumbs. Brown in oil. Drain chicken and place in casserole dish in a single layer. To oil left in skillet, add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, butter and basil. Simmer and pour over chicken in casserole. Seal with aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0. Uncover and top with grated Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese; return to oven for 10 minutes longer. Serves 4 to 6.
