Vegetable-Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can whole stewed tomatoes or 16 oz. tomato sauce
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen vegetable soup mix *
    1 pkg. frozen stew vegetables **
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans
    1 or 1/2 pkg. frozen okra
    3 c. hot water or use hot clear chicken broth for part of this
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 pkg. (dry) onion soup mix
    1/2 green bell pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. Tony's Creole seasoning (don't add salt if you use this)
    dash of each or add to taste: black pepper, garlic powder, thyme, basil and ground bay leaves
Preparation
    Brown and drain ground beef, then place all ingredients listed into crock-pot.
    Heat to boiling, then simmer all day or overnight.
    Serve.
    Makes approximately 6 1/2 large soup bowls. Diabetic exchanges:
    1 cup = 1 starch, 1 ounce meat and 1 fat.
