Buttermilk Corn Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
1 heaping tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3 c. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients and add eggs, mixing lightly until lemon colored.
Add milk and cheese to egg yolks.
Fold in dry ingredients.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture. Cook at once on a hot greased griddle.
Serve with sliced strawberries, honey or maple syrup.
