Country-Fried Steak With Cream Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. boneless sirloin steak (1/2-inch thick)
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. white vinegar
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. freshly ground pepper
    vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    garnish (fresh parsley sprigs)
Preparation
    Trim excess fat from meat.
    Pound meat to 1/4-inch thickness, using a meat mallet or rolling pin; cut into 10 to 12 serving size pieces.
    Place in a large bowl; add water to cover.
    Stir in 1 tablespoon salt and vinegar.
    Cover and marinate in refrigerator 2 hours.
