Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels
    3/4 c. oleo
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 Pillsbury Plus German chocolate cake mix, prepared as directed
    1 c. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Melt first 3 ingredients and put aside.
    Pour half of cake batter into cake pan and bake 15 minutes.
    Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over top.
    Sprinkle with chips and nuts. Pour remaining batter over top and return to oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes before serving.
    Can use two 9 x 9-inch pans and put one in freezer.
    Can use ice cream or whipped topping.
