Perfect Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    13 1/2 c. water
    6 c. vinegar
    1 c. salt
    cukes
    dill
    1 Tbsp. sugar to each qt.
    garlic and hot peppers
Preparation
    Pack cukes in jars with lots of dill.
    Add 1 tablespoon sugar to each quart, garlic and/or hot peppers.
    Combine water, vinegar and salt; boil for 10 minutes.
    Pour boiling brine over cukes. Fill to tops of jars and seal.
    Set the jars in boiling water to come to tops of jars.
    Let stand until cool.
