Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. coffee
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Stir in buttermilk.
Sift together and stir in flour, salt and cocoa. Bring coffee to boil.
Add soda at once.
Pour over batter while still fizzing.
Turn into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
