Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. chopped cabbage
    12 green tomatoes
    6 onions, chopped
    12 hot peppers
    1/2 gal. white vinegar, spiced to taste
    1 qt. water
    1 qt. sugar
Preparation
    Let cabbage, peppers, onions and green tomatoes set 1 hour after grinding.
    Bring to a boil remaining ingredients.
    Add the vegetables and let simmer for 3 minutes. Put in jars while hot.
