Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium cooking apples
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Pare and quarter apples.
    In a 2 1/2-quart glass casserole dish, combine apples and water.
    Cover and cook for 7 to 9 minutes, or until fruit is soft, but not mushy.
    Add sugar to taste and, if desired, press through colander or serve.
    Season with cinnamon.
    Serves 4 to 6.
