Busy Day Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar for topping
    1 can cherries, fruit cocktail or peaches (juice and all)
Preparation
    In 8 x 8-inch baking dish, melt margarine.
    Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt.
    Pour over margarine.
    Then add fruit over the batter.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over the top and bake in 350\u00b0 oven until done.
