Cherry Coconut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    3 Tbsp. confectioner's sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. quartered maraschino cherries
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    With hands, mix flour, butter, confectioner's sugar until smooth.
    Spread thin with fingers in 8-inch square pan (greased).
    Bake 25 minutes.
    Stir remaining ingredients into beaten eggs.
    Spread over top of baked pastry. Bake about 25 minutes.
    Cool.
    Cut into bars or squares.
