Savory Brown Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, chopped
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. long grain rice
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. curry powder
    1 tsp. marjoram
    1/4 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine onion and 1/4 cup water.
    Cook on medium heat until onion is tender.
    Add rice, 2 cups water and soy sauce. Stir well.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add remaining ingredients; stir well. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.
    Let rest in covered pan for 5 minutes before serving.
    Makes a good side dish to serve with vegetables.
