Delicious Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken (fryer)
salt
1 c. water
1 c. butter
Preparation

Grease casserole or roaster with butter.
Dredge chicken with flour as for frying.
Put chicken with skin side down in roaster. Salt and add water and butter.
Put into 450\u00b0 oven and brown. When brown, remove from oven and turn.
Brown this side and if all water has cooked out.
Add a little more.
When brown, put top on. Turn oven down to 200\u00b0 and let simmer for about 40 minutes.
