Famous Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar and 1 egg
1/4 c. water
3 c. oats
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda

Preparation

Beat together the shortening, sugar, egg, water and vanilla. Add rest.
Can add chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 5 dozen.
