Overnight Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 onion, thin sliced
    7/8 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. salad oil
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Slice cabbage and onion and cover with sugar.
    Bring remaining ingredients to a boil.
    Pour over cabbage and let stand 4 to 6 hours or overnight.
    Will keep 7 days.
