Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg (unbeaten)
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Blend all dry ingredients; add shortening and blend.
    Add milk slowly.
    Blend in egg.
    Stir until stiff dough is blended.
    Put on floured board and knead 5 times.
    Cut and bake.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
