Pineapple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can crushed pineapple (regular size)
    1 c. sugar
    juice of 1 lemon
    1 envelope plain gelatin
    1 pt. whipped cream or Cool Whip
    1 c. grated cheese (Cheddar)
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
Preparation
    Mix pineapple, sugar and lemon juice together; heat.
    Put gelatin in enough water to soften.
    Add gelatin to pineapple and let begin to set up.
    Mix whipped cream or Cool Whip and softened cream cheese.
    Fold whipped cream mixture and grated cheese into gelatin mixture and chill until firm.
