Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nut meats (optional)
4 c. diced apples (small)

Preparation

Mix the ingredients in the order listed.
Put in 9 x 13-inch floured loaf pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Top with whipped cream.
