Green Tomato Catsup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes
    1 c. salt
    12 large onions
    12 large red sweet peppers
    3 pt. white vinegar
    2 Tbsp. mixed spices
    8 c. sugar
Preparation
    Grind tomatoes and add salt.
    Put into a cloth bag; let drain overnight.
    Grind onions and peppers and drain in a separate bag. Place spices in another cloth bag in a large kettle.
    Add vinegar, sugar and spices and bring to a boil.
    Add drained vegetables and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Stir to keep from sticking.
    Pack in jars and seal while hot.
