Vegetable Juice V-8 - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 bushel ripe tomatoes
4 or 5 onions, sliced
4 large celery, sliced
1 stick cinnamon bark
3 or 4 bay leaves
3 red peppers, sliced
2 c. water
12 whole cloves
Preparation

To all ingredients except tomatoes add 2 cup water and simmer 1 hour or until vegetables are soft.
Add washed and quartered tomatoes and cook until soft.
Strain can.
Add sugar and salt to taste.
Reheat, either boil and put in jars or cool and freeze in Ziploc freezer bags.
