Bachelor Buttons - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
2 Tbsp. cherry juice

Preparation

Mix all ingredients in order given.
Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
