Brandy Fruit And Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. chopped walnuts (English)
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 jar maraschino cherries (whole)
    3 eggs
    2 Tbsp. brandy
Preparation
    Combine fruit and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Mix dry ingredients well. Add to fruit and nuts; coat well.
    Beat eggs until frothy; add brandy.
    Add to mixture; mix well.
    Pour batter into 9 x 15-inch tube pan that has been greased and floured.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
    Cool in pan; remove from pan; wrap in cloth that has been dampened with 1/4 tablespoon brandy.
    Wrap in foil; place in refrigerator a couple of days.
    Unwrap; dampen cloth with water, no more brandy.
    Rewrap and set in refrigerator at least a week.
    Very very good.
    Not too boozy.
