Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    6 Tbsp. granulated sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy but not stiff.
    Gradually beat in sugar, one teaspoon at a time.
    Continue to beat until mixture is glossy and stands in soft peaks.
    Pile meringue on cooled filling in pie.
    Bake in hot oven at 425\u00b0 for 5 minutes or until delicate brown.
    Let cool at room temperature away from drafts.
