Corn Light Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. self-rising meal
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix all together and bake at 375\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Cool completely.
    Slice about 1/2-inch thick and fry in shortening until lightly brown.
