Cube Steak And Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 cube steaks
    4 Tbsp. fat
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    1 c. creamy chicken mushroom soup
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 medium potatoes, sliced
Preparation
    Brown the steaks in fat in a skillet and remove from skillet. Saute the onions and mushrooms in the same skillet until tender. Combine the soup, buttermilk and seasonings in a bowl.
    Place alternate layers of potatoes, onion mixture, steaks and soup mixture in a greased 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serves 4.
