Italian Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) loaf bread, cut lengthwise
    1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    1/3 c. olive oil
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 small tomato, finely chopped
    1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
Preparation
    Mix garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper; pour over each half of bread.
    Sprinkle onion and tomato over halves; cover with cheese. Bake at 500\u00b0 until edges of bread are brown and cheese melts.
    Cut in 1-inch slices.
