Egg White Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy; sprinkle salt and cream of tartar over them.
    Continue beating until stiff but not dry. Gradually beat in sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, adding vanilla with the last of the sugar.
    Shape by spoon or pastry bag into mounds on a baking sheet covered with unglazed paper.
    Bake in slow oven
    275\u00b0
    about 40 minutes or until very delicately browned and dry on top.
    Remove carefully from paper while warm.
