Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. mashed bananas
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Sift flour.
    Add baking powder, baking soda and salt; sift again.
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar.
    Continue beating until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs; mix until smooth.
    Slowly alternate dry ingredients and mashed bananas, stirring just enough to combine thoroughly.
    Do not beat.
    Put into greased loaf pan, 9 1/2 x 5 1/2-inch.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
