Cucumber Pickles(Makes 7 Quarts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. salt (cut to 3/4 c.)
    1 qt. white vinegar
    2 qt. water
    1 1/2 tsp. dill weed (per jar)
    1 hot pepper (per jar)
    1 clove garlic (per jar)
Preparation
    Rinse and scald jars.
    Fill with cucumbers, leaving 1/4-inch headspace at top.
    After filling with cucumbers, put 1 each clove garlic in each jar, 1 each dill seed, 1 1/2 teaspoons each jar and 1 hot pepper.
