Rice Jambalaya - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. sausage (ham or chicken)
1 green pepper, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
3 celery pieces, sliced
4 envelopes (pkg.) Lipton's chicken soup mix
9 c. boiling water
2 c. uncooked regular rice
1 can water chestnuts, chopped
Preparation

Brown sausage and onions.
Add pepper and celery;
cook slowly for 1
hour.
Add
rice, soup mix and water; cook until rice is done.
Add
water
chestnuts last 1/2 hour of cooking. Use large pan
to
cook.
One-half
of this recipe makes a big casserole.
