Club Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth (i.e. bouillon and water)
    large can (1 2/3 c.) evaporated milk
    1/2 to 1 1/2 tsp. salt (as needed)
    2 1/2 c. cut up cold chicken or turkey
    3 c. cooked rice
    can mushrooms (optional)
    1/4 c. diced pimento (optional)
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
    1/2 c. sliced almonds, toasted
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine; blend in flour and gradually add milk and broth.
    Cook and stir over low heat until thickened.
    Add salt, chicken, rice and vegetables.
    Pour into greased 2-quart 7 1/2 x 11-inch dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Sprinkle with toasted almonds.
