Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. orange juice
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted and cooled
4 Tbsp. water
1 whole egg
1 1/2 c. chopped cranberries
1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation

Sift the dry ingredients into a large bowl.
Combine the orange juice, shortening, water and egg; stir gradually into the dry ingredients.
Fold the chopped cranberries and walnuts into the batter and pour into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 2 3/4-inch bread pan.
Bake for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
