James River Waffles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, separated
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    6 Tbsp. margarine or butter
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Beat yolks until light, adding 1 cup buttermilk.
    Sift together dry ingredients; add to yolk mixture and beat.
    Add the remaining cup of buttermilk and beat again, adding melted margarine.
    Lastly, fold in the beaten (stiff) egg whites. Bake in hot waffle iron.
