Cheeseburger Buns - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (1/4 oz.) pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water (115~)
1/2 c. warm milk (115~)
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 to 4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
8 slices cheese, quartered
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add next 5 ingredients and 2 cups flour; beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto floured surface; knead until smooth, about 4 to 6 minutes. Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled. In a skillet, cook beef and onion until done; drain. Stir in tomato sauce. Set aside. Punch down dough; divide into 16 pieces. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough into a 5-inch circle. Top each circle with two pieces of cheese and 3 tablespoons beef mixture. Bring dough over filling to center. Pinch edges to seal. Place seam side down on greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise until doubled. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
