Amalgamation Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
4 c. cake flour
3/4 c. white raisins
10 eggs, beaten and separated
3/4 c. milk
3 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 1/4 pt. strawberry jam
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar. Add yolks, jam and other ingredients with flour, spice and soda that have been sifted together.
Fold in beaten whites. Bake at 300\u00b0.
