Mock Marshmallow Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. softened butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Place flour
    in
    a small saucepan.
    Add milk gradually, stirring
    constantly
    until
    mixture
    is
    smooth
    and blended. Place mixture
    over moderately low heat (about 225\u00b0) and cook, stirring
    constantly,
    until
    thickened
    and smooth.
    (Mixture will be
    fairly
    stiff.) Cool.
    Place butter in the small bowl of an
    electric mixer and beat until creamy.
    Add sugar gradually and beat
    until
    mixture is light.
    Add the cooled flour mixture and beat
    at high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 1 to 2 minutes.
    Gently fold in vanilla.
    Makes enough to frost the top of a 9-inch cake.
