Chunky Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    6 c. milk
    1/2 can tender young peas (optional)
    1 c. cooked ham, cut in small chunks
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 medium onions, chopped
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    6 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Boil potato cubes until soft (about 15 to 20 minutes).
    In a large pot, heat margarine and saute chopped onions until soft. Add milk and flour; heat a few minutes until boiling.
    Mix in potatoes, ham and peas; lower heat.
    Add salt and pepper to taste. Serves 6 to 8.
    This recipe can easily be halved.
