James' Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. broccoli
2 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. chopped ham
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. dried sage
1/4 tsp. ground pepper
dash of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. heavy cream
1 egg yolk
1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation

In large soup pot, cook broccoli in chicken stock with bay leaf until tender, about 20 minutes.
Melt butter, add flour and mix well.
When broccoli is done, remove bay leaf and puree in blender with chicken stock.
Return to pot.
Add butter-flour mixture, parsley, thyme, sage, pepper and Worcestershire sauce; stir until blended.
Heat on low.
